reflection and bibliography.. ;)
I felt that Design Trends and Issues was certainly an interesting module for sure. It was the first time that we attended class for just one lesson a week. It was definitely a memorable experience getting to chat with each other through virtual chat logs, and discussing about our heated opinions and issues in design trends.
From this module, I learnt a lot about the world outside, not only in terms of design, but also in the economic world today and how the design industry affects, or is affected by the global world today.
I also learnt how to do extensive research on a challenging topic, and I learnt how to compile my research together and come up with my personal thoughts and feelings about the situation.
This module enables me to think and speak like an adult or a politician would. It also gives me a chance to express my views on a crisis or a crux that is affecting the world, and it is comforting to hear about my classmates' critique about my opinions through the research that i had done.
I was also enlightened about the different design movements in the world today, and how they are responsible for setting off trends, culminating new cultures or even fusing together two cultures.
It was definitely an enriching journey of acquiring knowledge, and from this module, I am inspired to learn and find out more about design trends and issues that are affecting the world today.

i don't believe in fairytales anymore.
i don't believe in my prince coming on his white horse
to bring me to the land where joy and laughter is in abundance.
because.. fairytales simply don't exist in the reality world.
